Don has represented northwest Bellevue, Ward 5, on the city council, for 13 years. Prior to that, he served as a Nebraska State Senator for 16 years, representing Bellevue and South Omaha. He founded Green Bellevue that has had over a $2 million dollar impact in volunteer labor and grants for Bellevue. Don invests his time in this group and others, that improve our quality of life and environment; Farmers Market, Tree Board, Fontenelle Forest, Complete Streets and more.
