BSA Big Give Luncheon

Scouting doesn’t just happen. It takes a community of volunteers and donors to provide programs designed to teach character development, citizenship, physical fitness, and career exploration. BSA Big Give is the annual kick-off to the Investment in Character annual giving campaign and raises funds to support Scouting through the upcoming year. The event will capitalize on the momentum of #GivingTuesday and the holiday giving season by hosting a day of giving with a hybrid of in-person and virtual components. The Leadership Luncheon (rebranded from Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting) serves as our in-person luncheon bringing Scouting donors and the community together for a keynote address, Scouting stories and a formal ask for support.
BSA Big Give 2022 will be themed “Be the First to Respond” to highlight the connection Scouting has to first response, service to the community, and personal preparedness. Stories of how Scouts responded to disaster, including the pandemic, will be highlighted in multiple ways. You absolutely don't want to miss our keynote speaker, Terry Fossum. Born in the poorest city in the United States surrounded by gangs and drugs, Terry found himself staring down the wrong end of an assault rifle in his own back alley in Junior High. In high school, his father was killed. Before he died, one of the neighbors told him “I just want to make sure you understand something: Not a single one of your boys will ever grow up to be anything.” But Terry and his brothers had Scouting, and Scouting changed their life.
Attendance at this event is free, but registration is required no later than Friday, November 12, 2021. Register now online at the Big Give Luncheon website, or learn more at http://www.BSABigGive.org.
